How's it Going?

Hey, How is it going?

Things here are going good. me and my comp are getting along good. He is a cool guy, even though he doesn't like basketball. He is more into cars and rock climbing but he is still cool. Things in Teec are going good, we are finding more work to do, and finding success. I don't mind being district leader. Preparing for district meeting is probably the worst part but other than that I enjoy it. This week is zone conference so i don't have to prepare a district meeting. Zone conference are always good, so i am pretty excited about that. This week was kind of slow and the baptismal date we had set for this week are going to have to be pushed back because the people getting baptized missed there baptismal interview. We did find a few new people this week, mainly less actives that we ran into that we are going to try to get to come back to church, so that was good. This week i broke my camra so i can't take pictures anymore. It is way weird to think that this time last year I was in the MTC, it is crazy how time flies.

Hey, How is it going?

Sounds like things are going good in Lund, Nevada. So you guys had stake conference this week huh? Sounds like that went well! Well this week was a good week. We taught lots of people. My companion sprained his ankle playing football last week and couldn't really ride a bike this week, but he is doing better now. He can ride a bike again. Well we set a baptismal date this week with Caleb Clark. I guess his parents found out when they came to visit the other day that he was going to be baptized, and flipped out. They hit him in the head with a skillet and told him they would disown him. He still wants to be baptized and doesn't care what his parents think. He has a pretty strong testimony. That is probably the most interesting thing that happened this week. We did also get two new investigators this week, and they both are open to learning about the gospel. One of their names are John, he just got out of prison a couple years ago and wants to change his life around. The other is Jenny, she said when we knocked on her door that she didn't want to talk to us and how missionaries have come by before, and she never lets them in. Well some how I got talking to her about the Book of Mormon and she agreed to lets us bring her one by. We did and she read some and wants us to come by and answer her questions. We were able to teach her the Plan of Salvation. It went well. Our zone conference this week was on the Book of Mormon and how to apply it to every aspect of missionary work. Well that is about everything that happen this week. Talk to you later

Life in Elderado

Dear Familly and Friends
Hey, How is it going? Things with me are going great! My new comp. is a pretty cool kid. We will have a good transfer and I am glad I got a new comp after being 3 months with Elder Andrus. It was time for a change, got to keep things fresh. Well this week was a good week things went great with Stephano. We gave him a firm commitment for baptism and hopefully will set a date this week. Last Sunday there was this guy who came to church named Caleb. He had read the Book of Mormon 5 times, and had some question he wanted answered. It sounded at first like he just wanted to bash with us but he came to church this week again and said, " I am a believer". He told us how he wanted to be baptized as soon as possible. We asked him how many times he wanted to meet with us this week ,and he told us everyday if possible. I was amazed at how much he had changed in just a week. He told us he had read the Book of Mormon over again and had recieved and answer that it was true. He said he was scared not to get baptized. We are planing on meeting with him 3 times this week, and have a baptismal interview the following week, so i'm pretty excited! we will probably have two baptizm this transfer at least. Well this upcoming week is zone conference so that will be fun. Last zone conference we were supposed to set goals for a month in advance for someone to be baptized, so eventually every week we would have a baptism. I was thinking no way we would be able to have a baptizm every week but it looks like that might be possible we keep finding people like this. Well I got to go well talk to you later, hagoona (It means bye in navahoo)

Monday's news

hey how is it going? How are things going in Lund. Is there anything new and exciting? It sounds like there is alot going on. Well I'm glad to hear that dad is better and everything is back on track. How is teaching school in Ely going mom? Well things for me are going good. Transfer was this week and I am still in Eldorado and I am still with Elder Andrus. I am starting to think that I am never going to leave Albuquerque. It is o.k. I like it here. It was just kind of a boring transfer news, same companion and everything. This week was kind of slower week. We had zone conference this week I think I told you about that. It was a really good zone conference. Elder C Scott Grow gave a sweet talk, it was way good. This week we got a referral from this guy back east somewhere and we went and contacted him when we were talking to him he had lots of doubts about our church and we told him to pray about it and he said he would. He is a member of a born again christian church and when we finished talking to him he prayed right there on his door step to find out if it is true and you could feel the spirit come as he was praying. After the prayer we just left to let the spirit work on him some more it was good. we are still working with Bill and a few other people so that is good. Today for p-day we are going to hangout with a bunch of the other elders in our district because a lot of them are leaving. A lot of them are heading out to the reservation. I want to go to the reservation. One of these transfers. I hear it is an interesting experience. well that is about everything that happened this week.
see ya

hey how is it going with you guys this week. so you all went to washington this week huh? sounds like you had a good time there, so angel came too? well cool let me know if anything new and exciting happens in lund. this week was a good week in eldorado we did a lot of knocking doors this which gets kinda boring after a while. we talk to a lot of people this week and none of them said we could come back which is kinda sad. as far as bill goldrick goes he pretty much backed out because he is a girl scout. we went and talk to him and had a awesome lesson the spirit was there and we talk about the importance of baptism. he knows that the church is true he has no problem accepting the doctrine and he has good member support his son and daughter- in-law are members. whats holding him backs is that he is scared of commitment. i think he sees how involved his son is in the church and is worried that he is going to have to dedicate a lot of time to church calling. he is like 80 years old and for some reason he thinks it will be easier to join later in life. what i think of is a talk one of the apostle gave i can't can't remember who gave it but it is called the 7 deadly harrosies(i know i spelled that wrong) but he talked about how you can't think that you will be able to accept the gospel in the next life when you have a testimony of it in this life. i feel that once you get a testimony that this church is true it is your obligation to act on that testimony. i tried to explain that to him as tactfully as possible but he is scared to commit. but this week was stake conference in the eldorado ward and they were reorganizing the stake presidency so that was kind of fun to watch. elder porter from the 70 came down and talk he gave a pretty good talk. on week 6 we are have a big zone conference where elder c. scott grow from the quorm of the 70 is coming down to talk to us so that should be pretty exciting. well i think that is about all that is going on this week. it is kind of weird to think that it is already week 5 of the transfer. i have almost been out 6 months time flies. well if you guys could it would be great if you would send my memory card back out to me and hey i would not be to upset if you sent some snacks out with it. well got to go talk to you later.

how is it going

hey how is it going? it was good to here from you guys this week. that's way cool that missionary work is picking up in good old lund. things here are going good. tell dad that if i have a bike at college i probably won't ride it home to visit you guys, and besides i am leaving my bike in the mission. so if you guys buy me a bike it better have a motor and be able to go at least 120 mph. well things have been going good this week it was kind of a slow as far as missionary work goes but that is because this week was zone conference so that took up a whole day. but it was a good week the guy we have a baptismal date with came to church yesterday so i am pretty excited about that. when we went over to teach him this week he was pretty discouragaged and did not think he wanted to go through with the baptism but after we talked to him for a bit and read him a few scriptures he was excited to be baptized again so that is good. this week in zone conference the main theme of it was planning and as we plan and set goals we create our future and president anderson talked about god creating the world and how when we plan and set goals we our becoming like god in that we are learning the art of creation. it was really good zone conference. well my new companion is from riverton utah and his favorite thing to do is to play video games and read books. so we are like total opposites but we are getting along and we have been working hard. he is into science fiction and stuff like that. i have never really liked stuff like that and he also has some self esteem issues i think. but hey. we were over eating at a members house and they gave me a 5 gallon tub of protein powder. i don't know if i necessarily need it but i got it. maybe it will motivate me more to work out harder in the morning. they are a pretty cool family i really like them. while we were over there they taught us how to make glow sticks. you just get 1/4 bottle of mountain dew about a 1/4 tsp of baking soda and 3 caps of hydrogen peroxide and shake it all up. it is pretty cool me and my companion are probably going to try it out today. well hey i think that is about everything i got to go.
