..any were we go is muddy...

Hey, How is it going?
Things here are going well. I haven't got my new scriptures yet, but they will probably be here today or tomorrow. Thanks for sending them out to me. I have been getting along all right without them because before I left the mtc I bought a little pocket size Book of Mormon. I have read that one way more than my quad. I have it way more marked up and can teach most lessons out of it. Well the snow up here is mostly all melted but there is a ton of mud. Our truck is covered in mud and anywhere we go is muddy because most of the roads are dirt on the way to people's houses. We had a good week this week, we had 11 investigators at church and that is the most I have ever had come to church on my mission, so that was good. We had some good lessons this week. We should also have some baptisms coming up in the next couple weeks, that is if everything goes right. We had one investigator named Diane who had to have a special interview from a member of the mission presidency to be baptized. She passed and is ready to go. We have a few 12 year old kids that are ready too, so it is going pretty good. Well Dad, good luck on Wednesday and I will be praying for you! Kelsea it is good to hear you are doing good in your basketball games (how can you not do good being my little sister) Well I got to go, tell Aunt Dawna thanks for sending me out my scriptures.

News From Teec

Hey,
How is it going? I did get you guy's package, and the shirt and the coat fit great. Thank you. Last week we emailed at the chapter house in Teec, but it was closed on Monday, so we didn't email until Tuesday. Well our zone conference was really good, they talk about having the spirit with us, and they also talk about conversion, so it was good. They canceled Richard G. Scott coming because of weather conditions. We got tons of snow. In one of the towns in my area it seemed like they had 2 feet, but then it rain and melted a lot of it. This week I got got to try mutton stew which is a favorite among the Navajo, it was alright. I tried it at our branch pot luck. The work is going good in this area we have about 5 baptismal dates, some of them are just members that lost there records. Although we do have 2 investigators. They are a husband and wife that are getting baptized in the middle of February. That same guy who is getting baptized, about two weeks ago got drunk and wanted to fight me and my comp because he said we judge him when he was drunk, and he said a bunch of other dumb things. A couple days later we went over and talked to him and told him that he needs to start taking this commitment more seriously, and I think we got him back on track. Things are going pretty well except I lost my scriptures. I have a pocket size Book of Mormon and Bible. I have been teaching out of these but i don't know if i will be able to find my quad, so if you could send me out my old scriptures that would be great. Well thanks for everything and tell Karlie Happy Birthday and tell dad good luck with the surgery.

Monday's news

hey how is it going? How are things going in Lund. Is there anything new and exciting? It sounds like there is alot going on. Well I'm glad to hear that dad is better and everything is back on track. How is teaching school in Ely going mom? Well things for me are going good. Transfer was this week and I am still in Eldorado and I am still with Elder Andrus. I am starting to think that I am never going to leave Albuquerque. It is o.k. I like it here. It was just kind of a boring transfer news, same companion and everything. This week was kind of slower week. We had zone conference this week I think I told you about that. It was a really good zone conference. Elder C Scott Grow gave a sweet talk, it was way good. This week we got a referral from this guy back east somewhere and we went and contacted him when we were talking to him he had lots of doubts about our church and we told him to pray about it and he said he would. He is a member of a born again christian church and when we finished talking to him he prayed right there on his door step to find out if it is true and you could feel the spirit come as he was praying. After the prayer we just left to let the spirit work on him some more it was good. we are still working with Bill and a few other people so that is good. Today for p-day we are going to hangout with a bunch of the other elders in our district because a lot of them are leaving. A lot of them are heading out to the reservation. I want to go to the reservation. One of these transfers. I hear it is an interesting experience. well that is about everything that happened this week.

What a week!

Dear family and friends,

Hey, how is it going? It definitely sounds like you guy had an exciting week. I thought that I had a pretty exciting week but you guys got me beat. Let me know how thing are going. Well my week wasn't near as dramatic but it was a good week, me and Elder Andrus got 7 new investigators this week, that is way sweet. while tracting one day me and Elder Thatcher ran in to these Islamic people and the said week could come back so we went back there this week and they let us in and we talked about our beliefs for about an hour and there is like 5 or six people that live in this house and 4 of them sat in on the discussion so that was sweet, 4 new investigators in one shot and then we started teaching this one ladies grand kids her name is Virgina Yassy, she is an Indian lady if you couldn't tell by the last name Yassy, and her grand kids are not baptized. 3 of them are over 8 years old. We went back to talk to Bill's this week and he told us that he wants to finish the book of Mormon again before he is baptized. i don't know why he has already read it once and it is not like you're not aloud to read it a again after your baptized. He is just procrastinating, but we set a date with him for November and we are going to read with him every Wednsday. Just like that another transfer has gone by. This is the last week of the transfer and we also have a big zone conference coming tomorrow. I think I told you but Elder C. Scott Grow is coming to talk to us. it should be a really busy week. It is kind of funny though that Elder C. Scott Grow's name is a sentence. Well dad I hope you start gaining weight because when I come home and I weigh 230 lbs of solid muscle and I out weigh you by 80 lbs it might be kind of embarrassing. Just kidding. but I hope you do get better. Talk to you later.
