Life in Teec

Hey, How is it going?
Things have been going good here? I am glad to hear everything went well with dad on Wednesday. Tell him he better start hitting the weight room if he wants to compete with me and my 207 lb of pure muscle. So another dog down huh? It seems like we had a streak before we got Dudley, where we couldn't get a dog to last more than 2 years, but hey as long as Hannah is still around, right. You guys wanted to know more about Teec. It is a lot like Duck Water, only bigger. The work here is good, but it is not as fast pace as Albuquerque, it is pretty laid back. There is enough members out here to probably have 2 wards but only 40 people come each week. A lot of the people out here, when they were younger, went on the placement program where they would go and live with an LDS family. They would go to school in Utah and while they were up there they would get baptized. Then later on move back to the reservation and never go to church again. A lot of the time their membership records got lost and so we have to reteach and baptize them all over again. It is a nice area and there are some cool people out here. My companion is really cool, he is from Caldwell, Idaho. He is going home this transfer but we have gotten along pretty well. We both have similar interests, and he is a basketball fan. We have a basketball court by our trailer so we go out and play sometimes. I have beaten my comp once in one on one, but he has beaten me twice, so he is pretty good. I did get my scriptures that Aunt Dawna sent me, so that is great. That is about everything going on. Transfer news is coming this week so we'll see what happens. I already know I am staying in Teec because President told me during interviews. I guess I will find out who my new comp is. Hey if you guys have time it would be way sick, if you could send me out some more peanut butter popcorn, but no hurry just if you guys want something to do.

Transfer News

Dear Family and Friends,
Hey, How are things going? Thing are going good here. We got transfer news and I am finally leaving Eldorado. I am heading up to Teec Nos Pos, it is in Arizona by the four corners area in the middle of nowhere. I am pretty excited to hear I was going to the reservation. It will be a interesting experience. I was way stoked to leave. Then when I went to church on Sunday and said goodbye to everyone, it was kind of sad. I felt like I was having my farewell again, but I am excited to go. It is time for a change. My new companion will be Elder Shoey he seems like a cool guy. I have met him a few times playing football, and it seems like we will get along good. He is a pretty good football player. I am not sure of where he is from or anything, but I do know he is an older missionary. Everyone tells me that Teec Nos Pos is one of the highest baptizing area in the mission, so that will be cool. I will let you know more details next week. I'll talk to you next week.

Summer is here!

hey hows it going everything is going? great here. sorry to here about your job mom. i hope pops gets better. i did get your package. thank you but the video won't play on my camera i don't know why. i guess the big news here is that i am getting transferred from my area and i am going to be senior companion to elder thatcher which is really weird because i have only been out for 2 transfers no one hardly ever goes senior after 2 transfers, i hope i am ready for that. i have met my companion before and he seems pretty cool i play dodge ball with him on monday we also got to play some basketball too it was fun. i can still dunk so that is all that really matters. i am going to an area called elderado it is still in albuquerque. i am really going to miss this area that i am in we have one guy and his family that are ready to be baptized. he really wants to be part of our church. but i won't get to see him be baptized cause i am leaving. i have to get all my stuff packed up today so that sucks. but today for p-day we are going to the zoo so that will be way fun. i hear that the zoo is way cool here. i guess we will see. but this week has been going great we had a lot of good stuff happen it is amazing how much things in this area pick at the end and how many new people we are teaching. my new area is a bike area so at least i can stay in shape, this car area is making me lazy. my companion is staying here and training so we have to be at the mission office tomorrow at 7 in the morning so i am going to have to get up earlier than 6:30 so that is lame. but i am really enjoying my self here. thanks for all the support
